The Creeper's Lab denizens voted a while back, and the term "Test Subject" was adopted as the "official" name we call ourselves that play here. And because this is a Lab, there are many experiments that can be done.
Everyone has their own style of play, but there are definitely themes amongst them. Builders and explorers, gamers and planners, these are some examples of the types of play that the Creeper's Lab offers.
Please feel free to add your own overall style to the list and help build the existing ones!
Vast tracts of land are available across the Survival Worlds. Builders find this land, claim it as their own, and start building! From castles to spaceships, there is no wrong way to build, and these Subjects have created some amazing places to explore and discover.
These are people who love to take part in the challenges the Lab offers. Whether it's the Horseman Quests or Guilds, or the monthly challenge World, or hosted game events, these active participants may spend time in almost any aspect of Creeper's Lab. They go where the fun is!
Taking advantage of the Science realms built by other Test Subjects, "Doing Science" is a great way to get cool powerful gear, collect trophies, and get to challenge yourself to hand to hand combat with a series of progressively harder levels.
Every Build tells a story, so building in additional details beyond just the actual blocks is part of the Story Builder's approach. Using tools like the Statues Book to pose Armor Stands and hide Item Frames, or renaming regular items to have a descriptive name that would fit into a role playing world, adding touches like this brings their areas to life.

I like to rename everything and give them custom names to add flavor to my builds. So part of what I do as I approach finishing a particular building or room is think of items that would be in the room. Books or tools, food or building supplies, I like to rename chests and barrels to appropriate names. So a chest with valuables in it might be renamed "Mahogany Chest" to show it's rich. And I do this but with terms from my fantasy world, Faravail. So my Silk Picks are renamed Sa'tom Picks because the wizards of Sa'tom were the first ones to learn and perfect the magical art of Silk. And only those made with this mystical process earn the name.
I also do this with my personal gear, renaming to a sword that my D&D Fighter may have carried. For me building the whole story is the best part of the job.
