Surveying: Looking for help laying out the network of roads and through ways, and establish plots for building. First stage - lay torches with minimal impact to landscape. Second stage - clear out routes and build road network. Third stage - label and outline plots for prospective builders.
Paths: Lay out proposed paths with torches, then build them to be walkable with no jumping, i.e. steps or slabs along the entire path.
Tradegrounds: Lay out a tent-like area built into the walls. The tradegrounds started out small and built up to a major influence in the area. This should be reflected in the build as it becomes bigger outwards from the original small market area.
