Did you know that for every Map Marker, there is a page in the Creeperpedia for it? At least, that's the goal! While most markers have pages already, they need to be described! Take a step into the world and report back what you see by helping fill in the entries!
There are different types of Markers on the map but the most prevalent by far are Towns. This is the main type that Explorers should work on as the others are generally owned by someone specific.
Each Map Marker entry is tagged "needs-described" when it is created. To find Town entries, just search that tag Here - Towns Need Described
Each map entry is given a templated page full of instructions on how to fill out. The main parts that can be easily handled by explorers are. When filling out each section, all instructional text should be deleted and replaced with the information.
Page Short Description
This is a sentence that pops up in searches for the page, including In Game with the /wiki command. This should be a concise and descriptive sentence or two: "Great City in the North" or "Long Abandoned Town" or "A Crossroads in the East".
Introduction
Brief introduction to the map entry. This is generally 1-2 paragraphs and has a bit of history or description of the place.
If a Town is clearly owned and being developed by an active Lab Member, any entry here should be confirmed to be OK by them. In addition, their User Name should be added as a Tag on the Page.
Map
Each Map section should have a link to its location on the map. Additionally, under the link should be a screenshot of either the location on the 3D map, or a good screenshot of the area.
Details of Entry
This is for expanded content of the location. This can be many things. The Header ( "Details of Entry") can be renamed to something appropriate to the general location, such as "City On The Sea" or "A Glorious City". As much exploratory information as well as screenshots of various locations may be added here.
As with Introduction above, any active owned places should only be done in conjuction with the owner.
Once all the sections have been filled out, the "needs-described" tag should be deleted, and the "needs-reviewed" tag should be added. This allows a second set of eyes to proofread, edit, and finalize each entry.
