¶ History of Kainlan Wirth
Centuries ago, the exile of Eben Cair, General Kainlan, came through a portal after spending years wandering the Nether. The people were unfamiliar to him, but took him in and made him their leader. They eventually renamed their town to honor him, for his part in defeating The Dragon of Forlorn Hope.
