Creeper's Lab is a mainly open build survival set of worlds. This means that any unclaimed land is open for players to build on.
In addition to open lands, there are some areas that are specially designed for players to build a themed building on a plot.
Any lands that do not have any construction on them are considered fair game, with a few guidelines. If you find a location you would like to build and discover there is a nearby neighbor, it is common courtesy to make sure they do not have any plans for the surrounding area before putting up your own buildings.
Once you locate an area and decide to settle there long term, there are a variety of options available to help you out under "Build Related Services" below.
Rule 7- Respect private property (rules page from Creeper's Lab)
Don't change or extend someone's structures without their permission. If a sign says that visitors are unwelcome, please respect that as well and find another area to play in.
This is the list of public, themed building areas that you can join at any time. Please check below if there are any building restrictions before you get started! If you have additional questions, the main contact for each area is listed.

Unless otherwise noted, you own your building area from bedrock to sky limit. If lot limits are drawn, with fences or otherwise, you must stay within the the limits of your lot.
In themed areas, you're allowed to make multiple entries as you wish. However, any builds that are off-topic or obviously incomplete are subject to be removed after two months of inactivity.
Creeper's Lab has a variety of contests to participate in. Even after the contest is over, most of these sites revert to Public Build Sites that can be developed by those who missed the official contest. For a more in depth look, check out the Contests page here.
